REL 312: Poetry and Prophecy

Course Description

In REL 312: Poetry and Prophecy (OT Studies) students develop the historical- and literary-critical skills used in reading and interpreting Biblical Poetry and Prophetic Literature.

This is not a comprehensive introduction to and survey of each of the whole range of the prophetic and poetic books which are found in the Bible. It is rather an introduction to and exploration of the critical techniques used in academic and theological study of these sometimes quite difficult and complex writings.

Prerequisite/Co-requisite: REL 111. Normally offered every other Fall.
