Course Description

LAA 121 Character is subtitled Human Nature and Behavior. In this course we investigate conceptions of human nature and behavior from the perspective of various disciplines, cultures, and religious traditions. We ask such questions as: What is human nature? Why do people do the things they do? What influences human behavior and choices? What is the value of a self-examined life? The course utilizes primary sources and case studies to explore these issues

This is the first of four common syllabus core liberal arts classes required of all students at Mars Hill College.
